PTS commences use of Payment Bus Cards

The Pacesetter Transport Service, has officially began the use of payment smart cards on Omituntun buses. These cards are stylish, convenient, slim and look just like ATM cards.

As cash is no longer accepted on the bus, the Omituntun buses are rendering a cashless service Everyone is expected to obtain the card for free within a given period and is also expected to load a mimimum of N1,000 on it. This cards save the trouble of always looking for change and carrying bulky money around

PTS commences Intra-City Operations

The Pacesetter Transport Service, has now begun inter-city operations within the towns of Iseyin; Oyo; Ogbomoso; Ibarapa and Saki.

The Governor, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, has graciously approved the intra-city operations. Now residents of Iseyin; Oyo; Ogbomoso; Ibarapa and Saki towns can now enjoy reliable and affordable bus transportation within the town. More towns to come soon.

PTS commences Inter-City Operations

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the state owned transportation service, to commence inter-city operations from Ibadan city, the Oyo state capital to other towns within the state. The operations begins on the 21st August 2023. This is also in line with the: operation Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery (SAfER) as promised by the governor.

The operations will first kick off with five towns within the state, later, more towns will be included. The five towns are: Iseyin; Oyo; Ogbomoso; Ibarapa and Saki. Residents of these towns can now enjoy bus Transport to and from Ibadan city. This is one of the pallative measures promised by the governor, to mitigate the impact of the removal of fuel subsidy.

Subsidy Removal: Gov Makinde Rolls out more Omituntun buses

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, rolled out palliatives to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal on the citizens as he flagged off the dualisation of the 8.3km Akobo-Ojurin-Odogbo Barracks-Olorunda-Abaa junction Road.

The Governor said he has already set up a committee to look into how civil servants’ salaries can be increased. He has also decided to deploy more Omituntun buses to ease the transportation worries with no increase in the fare paid on these buses. Also, school children and our senior citizens will board these buses at half-price.

PTS Launches O’Health Platform for staff via Mobile App

The Chairman of Pacesetter Transport Service, Dare Adeleke, has launched the O’health platform to improve the health being of its staff in the company.
The platform will allow staff members to access healthcare and consultation services from anywhere in the world using their mobile phones. The Chairman, PTS explained that he decided to extend the free healthcare service already available to his company’s staff to the O’health platform.

The Commissioner for Health, Bode Ladipo, commended the initiative and stated that the state’s Ministry of Health would replicate the model. The launch was chaired by the Executive Chairman of Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi, who described the platform as critical and urged drivers to prioritize their health.

Governor commissions Ojoo and Challenge Bus Terminals in Ibadan

Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, was on Tuesday, joined by his Edo State counterpart, Governor Godwin Obaseki, to commission the Ojoo and Challenge Bus Terminals in Ibadan.
Governor Obaseki, who was the special guest of honour at the commissioning, commended Makinde for delivering the two massive bus terminals among many others, despite the economic challenges in the country.

These mega bus terminals feature expansive functional waiting halls, ticketing areas, banking facilities, food courts, eateries, public convenience, lift facilities and a well-landscaped environment – open regular parking spaces.
“We also have Amala joints and ancillary plants like standby electric power, generating plant, water- reservoir, water treatment plants, waste dump, sewage system, gate posts and gate houses, security perimeter fence for security, flooding lights and perimeter electrification.

Governor's Inspection Tour of new Omituntun Buses

Governor Seyi Makinde inspected the new mass transit buses purchased by his administration at Pacesetter Transport Services, Ibadan. During the visit, Governor Makinde revealed that the buses, which will be launched soon, would provide a world-class transport service to the state. He also stated that he looked forward to a modern transportation system in Oyo State which would be driven by the Pacesetter Transport Services.

Oyo state government to procure 106 mass transit buses

The Oyo State Government has approved the purchase of 106 new mass transit buses. The approval was in line with the government’s drive to transform the transport sector and improve the state’s economy. The State Executive Council meeting approved the purchase of the buses at the cost of N9.3bn.
it is imperative that the state provides adequate and effective means of transportation, of moving persons, goods, and services, which will have a multiplier effect on commerce and economic development of the state.
